Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, share and protect your personal information.

This Privacy Policy explains how IDP IELTS Kuwait (Oracle Education) collects, uses, shares and protects your personal information when you book and take IELTS, attend our preparation courses, use our study-abroad service, or visit this website. It works alongside the official IELTS Privacy Notice linked at the end of this page.

Who we are

We are the official IELTS test centre in Kuwait, operated by Oracle Education, delivering IELTS as part of the global partnership between IDP: IELTS Australia, the British Council and Cambridge University Press & Assessment. When you take IELTS, your personal information is handled by us together with our IELTS partners under the official IELTS Privacy Notice.

The information we collect

  • Identity and registration details — your name, date of birth, gender, nationality, and the passport or Civil ID number used to register you and verify your identity on test day.
  • Contact details — your address, email and phone number.
  • Test information — your test responses, Speaking-test audio recording, the photograph taken at registration, and your results and band scores.
  • Payment information — the details needed to take payment for your test, course or service. Card payments are processed securely by our payment provider.
  • Course and study-abroad information — the details and documents you give us to enrol on a course or to apply to universities and colleges abroad, including your academic history.
  • Website information — data collected automatically when you use this site, such as your device, browser, IP address and the pages you view, through cookies and analytics.

How we use your information

  • To register you for IELTS, deliver your test, and issue, verify and report your results.
  • To process payments and provide receipts and invoices.
  • To deliver the preparation course or study-abroad service you request, including counselling and university applications.
  • To respond to your enquiries and provide customer support.
  • To send you information about your booking and — where you have agreed — news, offers and reminders about IELTS, courses and study-abroad events. You can opt out at any time.
  • To meet our legal, regulatory and security obligations and to prevent fraud or misuse.
  • To improve our website, services and customer experience.

When we share your information

  • With our IELTS partners — IDP: IELTS Australia, the British Council and Cambridge University Press & Assessment — to deliver the test and protect the integrity of IELTS.
  • With the organisations you nominate to receive your results, such as universities, employers, professional bodies and immigration authorities, including through the official results-verification service.
  • With universities, colleges and education providers you apply to through our study-abroad service, with your consent.
  • With trusted service providers who work on our behalf — for example payment processors and IT and communications providers — under strict confidentiality terms.
  • With government, regulatory or law-enforcement bodies where we are required to do so by law.

We do not sell your personal information.

International transfers

IELTS is a global test. To deliver your test, verify your results and provide our services, your information may be transferred to and processed by our IELTS partners and the IDP group in countries outside Kuwait. Where this happens, appropriate safeguards are applied to keep your information protected.

Cookies and website analytics

Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings. For full details of the cookies IELTS uses, see the IDP IELTS legal notices linked below.

How long we keep your information

We keep your personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes set out above — including delivering your test, verifying your results for the period they remain valid, and meeting our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations. After that, it is securely deleted or anonymised.

Your rights and choices

  • Ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you.
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Ask us to delete your information where we are not required to keep it.
  • Withdraw your consent, or opt out of marketing messages, at any time.
  • Ask a question or raise a concern about how we handle your data.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. Some rights are subject to the official IELTS terms and to our legal and regulatory obligations.

Keeping your information secure

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your information against loss, misuse and unauthorised access. Payment-card details are handled by our secure payment provider and are not stored by us.

Children and young people

Where a test taker or student is under 18, we ask for the consent of a parent or guardian and handle their information in line with the IDP IELTS Child Protection Policy linked below.
