How refunds, cancellations and transfers work — for your IELTS test and for our courses.
Need to change your date instead of cancelling? Request a transfer rather than a refund — it is usually faster and, for courses, free (subject to availability).
Your IELTS test booking
You can transfer your test to a later date or cancel it, subject to the notice periods and fees in the official IELTS terms. Cancel before the minimum notice period for a refund minus an administration charge; later cancellations are generally non-refundable, except for evidenced medical or exceptional circumstances submitted within a short window.

IELTS preparation courses
These rules apply to refunds and cancellations for our IELTS preparation courses. You may cancel within 14 days of receiving your Booking Confirmation; after that, any refund or credit is at the Centre Manager’s discretion and must be supported by a medical certificate or a letter from an employer, university or school.
Key course refund rules
- Any cancellation is subject to an 18 KWD administrative fee.
- If you attend more than one day of the course, no refund is possible.
- Course transfers are free but subject to availability; only the remaining days can be transferred.
- Approved refunds are processed within 14 business days of submitting the refund form (card refunds may take an extra 10 business days to appear on your statement).
- If we cancel a course, you may choose a refund, an alternative course, or a credit note — credits are valid for one year.
- Refunds cannot be paid in cash.
