Why choose Ireland?
Ireland is the only English-speaking country in the Eurozone, which means you study in English while enjoying full access to the European Union. Degrees from Irish universities are internationally recognised and respected by employers worldwide.
The country has become a European hub for technology, pharmaceuticals, and finance, hosting the global headquarters of many leading companies. This creates strong links between universities and industry, along with real opportunities for internships and graduate jobs.
Irish people are known for being warm and friendly, and the student communities are diverse and welcoming. Add a safe environment, stunning landscapes, and a rich cultural heritage, and Ireland becomes an easy place to feel at home.
Popular fields of study
Irish universities are especially strong in fields tied to the country's leading industries.

- Pharmaceuticals and life sciences, supported by Ireland's major pharma sector

Student visa and working in Ireland
Students from Kuwait studying a full-time course of more than three months apply for a long-stay (D) study visa. You will need an offer from a recognised institution, proof of paid tuition, evidence of sufficient funds, and private medical insurance.
While studying, you can work part-time for up to 20 hours per week during term and up to 40 hours per week during official holiday periods. This helps with living costs and builds valuable local experience.
After you graduate, the Third Level Graduate Programme lets eligible students stay in Ireland to look for work. Bachelor's graduates can typically remain for up to one year, and master's graduates for up to two years, giving you time to start your career in Ireland.
Irish universities require proof of English, and IELTS is widely accepted. Most undergraduate and postgraduate programmes ask for an overall band of 6.0 to 6.5, with no section below 5.5 to 6.0. IDP co-owns IELTS, so you can book your test with IDP IELTS Kuwait and access free preparation resources to reach your target score with confidence.
