Terms & Conditions

The terms for taking IELTS, our preparation courses, and our study-abroad service.

These Terms & Conditions cover three services — taking the IELTS test, our preparation courses, and our study-abroad (student placement) service. Open the section that applies to you.

IELTS test terms

When you book and sit IELTS with us, the official IELTS terms and conditions apply, together with the test-day rules and identification requirements. Choose the document for your test below.

Course & training terms

These terms apply to IELTS preparation courses and training delivered by IDP IELTS Kuwait (Oracle Education).

Important disclaimer

IELTS preparation courses offered by IDP IELTS Kuwait are designed to provide guidance, strategies, practice materials and exam familiarisation for the IELTS test. The course does not constitute an official IELTS test, and no guarantee is made regarding the achievement of any specific band score. Individual performance depends on multiple factors including, but not limited to, student attendance, engagement, effort, self-study and language proficiency level at the time of enrolment.

IDP IELTS Kuwait shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect loss, including academic, financial or immigration-related outcomes arising from participation in any course.

Discounts

Ask for your discount when you register and pay for more than one course at the same time.

Refund policy

We will endeavour to provide a refund where possible, in line with the terms set out below.

Cancellation by you

You may cancel within 14 days of receiving your Booking Confirmation. You will be liable to pay for any scheduled lessons that take place prior to you informing us of your decision to cancel.

You have no automatic right to cancel after attending more than one day of the course or after the 14-day cancellation period. Any refund or credit thereafter will be at the discretion of the Centre Manager. You must provide a medical certificate or a letter from an employer, university or school explaining why you or your child cannot attend the course.

Conditions that apply to all refund requests

  • If you attend more than one day of the course, no refund is possible.
  • Course transfers are free but subject to availability. You may only transfer any remaining days; you cannot retake parts of the course you have already attended.
  • Any cancellation is subject to an 18 KWD administrative fee.
  • Refunds are processed within 14 business days from the date the refund form is submitted, subject to approval.
  • For online payments, refunds are credited back to the card used. For credit-card payments this may take an additional 10 business days to appear on your statement, depending on your bank.
  • For payments made by POS at the office, refunds are processed to your bank account; you will be asked to provide your bank details once your request is approved.
  • Refunds cannot be paid in cash.

Cancellation by us

Oracle Education may cancel a course if it is unable to provide it due to reasons beyond its reasonable control — for example, if a student must be transferred to another level with no available spaces, or if a course is cancelled and we are unable to accommodate the student in an alternative class.

If we cancel, you are entitled to one of

  • A refund,
  • Attendance at an alternative course, or
  • A credit note.

Validity of credits

Credits issued for refunds may be used toward another course with Oracle Education within one year of issuance, after which they expire. Credits are for the value of the cancelled course, not the future course taken. If the fee of the course you transfer to is higher, you will be asked to pay the difference. Approved credits cannot be converted to cash refunds.

Requesting cancellation

To cancel, you must inform Oracle Education of your decision by a clear statement (for example a letter or an email). The original receipt must be provided at the time of the request.

Study-abroad placement (SP) terms

These terms apply to the study-abroad counselling and student-placement service provided by IDP IELTS Kuwait (Oracle Education).

Our role

We provide counselling and application support to help you apply to partner universities and colleges abroad, acting as an authorised representative of the institutions we work with. Our guidance is for information purposes and does not replace the official requirements of any institution or authority.

No guarantee of outcome

We do not guarantee admission, scholarships, accommodation, visa approval or any specific outcome. All admission and visa decisions rest solely with the institutions and the relevant authorities.

Your responsibilities

  • Provide accurate, complete and truthful information and documents.
  • Meet the entry requirements, deadlines and fees set by each institution and authority.
  • Pay tuition, application, accommodation and visa fees directly to the institution or relevant authority.
  • Comply with the laws and visa conditions of your destination country.

Fees

Our counselling and placement service is provided free of charge unless otherwise agreed in writing. Any third-party fees (tuition, application, deposits, visa, insurance, accommodation) are payable by you directly to the relevant provider.

Your information

With your consent, we share the information and documents you provide with the institutions you apply to and the relevant authorities in order to process your application. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for decisions made by institutions or authorities, for changes to their requirements or fees, or for any direct or indirect loss arising from your study-abroad application or journey.
