IELTS Writing workshop

Writing is where most candidates lose marks. This focused, expert-led workshop fixes that.

Writing is the section where candidates most often score below their target. In one concentrated, in-person session you work through both writing tasks with a certified IELTS trainer, see exactly how examiners award marks, and practise on real IELTS-style questions with feedback on your own writing.

What the workshop covers

  • Task 1 — describing graphs, charts, processes and maps (Academic), or writing letters (General Training).
  • Task 2 — planning and structuring a clear, well-argued essay.
  • The four marking criteria examiners use — Task Achievement, Coherence & Cohesion, Lexical Resource, and Grammatical Range & Accuracy — and what moves each one.
  • Paragraphing, linking ideas, and the right academic or general register.
  • The common mistakes that quietly cost band scores.

What you’ll walk away with

  • A repeatable structure for Task 1 and Task 2.
  • A clear understanding of how your writing is scored.
  • Personalised feedback you can act on before test day.
