About the Course

The IELTS course aims to provide students with the knowledge and practical skills required to successfully prepare to take the IELTS test.

This course content focuses on the language elements and skills including vocabulary, grammar, speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Like the test itself, course content is organized into the four main skill areas: Speaking, Listening, Reading, and Writing.

Each section of this course includes engaging multimedia presentations reviewing key test-taking skills, strategies and techniques.

Learning Outcomes

Understand the requirements of the IELTS examination. Understand and demonstrate the use of appropriate examination techniques. Be familiar with the layout and instructions of the IELTS examination papers. Use written techniques to present a written report based on graphic material. Use written techniques to present an argument.

Demonstrate the ability to hear, and answer questions, on a variety of spoken material. Read and comprehend a quantity of authentic academic written material. Demonstrate the skills of fluency, correct grammar, vocabulary and clarity in pronunciation.

Assessment Criteria

Listening and Reading Tests:

Each correct answer receives 1 mark Scores out of 40 are converted to the IELTS 9-band scale Scores are reported in whole and half bands

Writing and Speaking Tests:

Candidates are assessed on their performance on each task by certificated IELTS examiners according to the four criteria of the IELTS Writing Test Band Descriptors (task achievement/response, coherence and cohesion, lexical resource, grammatical range and accuracy).

Hours: 10 Hours
Days:  Sunday to Wednesday (1 Week)

Face-to-Face: 6pm to 8pm

Online Teaching: 3pm to 5pm


Assessment Methods

Final assessment is based on written examinations set by International English Language Testing System (UK).

Internal assessments include Mock Examinations and practice questions given by IELTS Instructors
